Wally and Hans Clavadetscher in the garden of their newly acquired Crastella, which is still their cozy home and they are still the good souls of the house.
1973
The small house Crastella, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the Chesa Randolina, was offered for sale to the Clavadetscher family in 1973.
Since a family from the Unterland would like to rent the house for a few years and is willing to pay an advance on the rent, Wally and Hans Clavadetscher decided to buy it.
1980
In 1980 the Crastella is converted into a private residence.
The family moves from the Chesa Randolina to the newly created home.
The vacated manager’s apartment creates new guest rooms in the hotel.
1992/93
After Wally and Hans have transferred the hotel management to their son Tomas Courtin, they move to the Stöckli, so to speak.
In 1992/93, they expanded their private home into the current Crastella residence.
Stylish and spacious apartments were created on three floors, each with its own charm. These are rented out by the week and were looked after for many years with heart and soul by Wally Clavadetscher.
